About Our Client

This is a strategic role that requires strong negotiation skills and a deep understanding of indirect procurement categories. The role will be an individual contributor within the procurement function.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement regional procurement strategies for indirect categories to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
  • Lead procurement initiatives, including RFP/ RFQ processes, supplier negotiations and contract management, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities, conduct spend analysis and implement cost reduction strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors, monitoring supplier performance and driving continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on market trends, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to inform procurement decisions.
  • Manage a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure departmental goals are met.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in indirect procurement with a proven track record of managing purchase annual spend of approximately USD 30 million.
  • Prior experience managing indirect categories such as marketing, HR, IT, travel, etc.
  • Strong negotiation, contract management and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience working in a regional or global procurement role within the FMCG/ Consumer Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry will be highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and data analytics tools (e.g. SAP, Coupa, Tableau, PowerBI and advanced MS Excel).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities and drive results.
