With increasing demand and new product introductions, they are currently looking for a Regional Distribution Excellence Manager to assist them and contribute in this area.

Job Description

Reporting to the Distribution Senior Director, your main responsibilities include collaboration between all departments to drive sustainable operational improvements in the field of safety, quality, efficiency and productivity. You will be leading large-scale projects and teams, in addition to ensuring that new processes contain and use Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies. You are also expected to have great communication skills to manage both internal and external stakeholders.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • To support performance management on daily, monthly and quarterly basis, inclusive of monitoring, analysis and reporting of projects.
  • Identify the requirements of LEAN/CI for assigned departments and develop implementations along with training plans with the department and Distribution Senior Director.
  • Be part of end-to-end process of ideation, development, evaluation, recommendation and execution of process improvements and enhancements through established systems, and be exposed to advanced technology opportunities such as Robotics, Late Stage Differentiation and picking the suitable systems for the company.
  • To be an expert in LEAN tools and utilise its methodologies to lead and manage CI projects timely, so as to meet the department or distribution goals in safety, quality, efficiency and productivity.
  • To lead employees assigned to CI project teams in LEAN disciplines and processes to accomplish or exceed project goals.
  • To support distribution lead efforts to optimise new and changed services and technologies through personal engagement and team members' efforts.
  • Building a CI culture by developing, delivering, and tracking training provided to employees.
  • Collaborate with CI and Capital teams to drive holistic improvements and process procedures.
  • To explore the use of database or BI tools to enhance and improve reporting consistency and accuracy.
  • Assistance in preparing presentation materials for all operational updates required for monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly.
  • Excellent stakeholder management.

The Successful Applicant

You must have a Degree in Business Management or Supply Chain and a minimum of 10 years experience within the Retail/FMCG Industry with focus on distribution centers, fulfillment centers and regional hubs. It is essential that you can demonstrate ability to be strong in negotiation and strategic influencing skills to be able to deliver value and advice to peers and stakeholders. Additionally, you must have analytical skills and be proficient at working with a variety of technologies (i.e. Office suite, Data Visualisation tools, SAP) in order to use these data and metrics to discover areas of business improvement and drive performance.
