Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across business, technology and compliance, the role owns the product backlog, prioritises initiatives and ensures successful delivery of digital solutions aligned with regulatory and business objectives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory requirements
  • Gather and translate business needs into clear user stories, functional requirements, and acceptance criteria
  • Lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, and prioritization within an Agile delivery environment
  • Work closely with business and technology stakeholders as the key liaison to manage expectations and dependencies
  • Monitor project deliverables to ensure timely and successful delivery of digital initiatives
  • Review business processes to identify opportunities for improvements and new solution features
  • Oversee UAT, production releases, and guide the tech squad (developers, QA) to ensure solutions meet business needs

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • At least 3-5 years' experience as a Product Owner within the insurance industry
  • Proven track record delivering enhancements and features on digital platforms
  • Strong experience collaborating with cross-functional business stakeholders
  • Solid analytical and conceptual thinking with the ability to translate business needs into solutions
  • Able to thrive in fast-paced environments with a proactive and adaptable mindset
  • Detail-oriented with a solution-driven attitude and strong willingness to learn
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field; Agile certifications and experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence or Figma are advantageous
