This role will be responsible for managing both the direct and indirect procurement which includes CAPEX, raw materials, consumables and services with a purchase spend over S$1 million. You will establish procurement processes, negotiate supplier agreements and ensure materials and equipment meet quality standards and project timelines. About Our Client

Our client is seeking for an experienced and strategic Procurement Manager to join their greenfield pharmaceutical organization. You'll be part of a greenfield pharmaceutical organization and help shape the business growth.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support operational and project needs.
  • Establish a strong supplier network for equipment and raw materials, negotiating contracts to achieve cost savings and high-quality supplies.
  • Oversee the procurement process for large-scale CAPEX ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance to align procurement with production timelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead supplier selection, evaluation and performance management ensuring compliance with pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Manage a procurement budget providing regular reports on spending and savings initiatives.
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and drive continuous improvement strategies within the procurement function.
  • Ensure purchased materials and equipment comply with regulatory and quality standards including GMP.
  • Develop procurement policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Build and lead a procurement team as the organization grows, providing mentorship and development opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management or a related field.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and quality/ regulatory standards in pharmaceutical procurement especially for for large-scale CAPEX.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of securing favourable contracts.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to resolve procurement challenges and implement process improvements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a focus on achieving cost savings and operational efficiency.
  • Proactive and adaptable in a dynamic industry.
