Job Description

  • Develop and optimise CVD processes to ensure high-quality manufacturing outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
  • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot issues to minimise downtime.
  • Evaluate and introduce new materials and technologies for process enhancements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards in all operations.
  • Analyse process data and generate reports for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers in CVD process techniques and best practices.
  • Support production teams in achieving operational efficiency and quality targets.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong hands-on experience in CVD, ALD, PECVD, or LPCVD.
  • Solid understanding of thin‑film physics, conformal deposition, precursor chemistry, plasma behavior, and film‑stack interactions.
  • Experience with deposition equipment from vendors such.
  • Proficiency in DOE, SPC, statistical analysis, and process troubleshooting (JMP, Minitab, Python preferred).
  • Familiarity with thin-film metrology (ellipsometry, XRR, XPS, TEM, SEM).
  • Experience with defect analysis and across-wafer uniformity tuning.
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and ability to translate complex data into clear actions.
  • Proven collaboration experience across cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Effective communicator who can present technical details to both engineers and leadership.
