The .NET Software Engineer role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining automation tools and infrastructure components while supporting the migration of the organisation's global treasury trading platform to Orchestrade. The position combines hands-on C# development, DevOps practices and collaboration with capital markets teams to ensure high-performance systems, reliable environments and continuous improvement across front-to-back operations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automation tools, infrastructure components, and CI/CD pipelines to support stable and efficient environments.
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to ensure smooth application development, deployment, and operations.
  • Contribute to the decommissioning of Kondor+ and the migration of global treasury trading activities to Orchestrade.
  • Build and optimise high-performance interfaces using APIs and various data formats (JSON, Protobuf, CIBML).
  • Strengthen DevOps practices through improved test management, automated testing, monitoring, and environment management.
  • Troubleshoot system issues, implement security standards, and provide Level 3 support across front-to-back treasury operations.
  • Stay aligned with evolving capital markets technologies, including trading systems, risk platforms, data analytics, and cloud adoption.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • At least 5 years' experience with strong C# .NET development skills and solid knowledge of UNIX and SQL-based databases.
  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, multi-threading, and OO design patterns.
  • Familiarity with web APIs (REST/SOAP), scripting languages (Python, Shell, PowerShell), and automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on exposure to DevOps tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, Kafka, Elastic Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, and test automation tools like Selenium or Cucumber.
  • Experience with capital markets or trading systems, ideally in Treasury or Fixed Income, with understanding of related financial products.
  • Added advantage: Docker/Kubernetes, cloud platforms, microservices, DDD, and general banking systems experience.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work under pressure, learn quickly, and collaborate across global time zones.
