About Our Client

My client is a leading producer of specialty chemicals. It operates globally and prioritizes sustainability efforts. They are looking for a Market Development Manager to coordinate with the commercial, R&D, and marketing teams on Polymeric Modified Bitumen (PMB) products, covering the Southeast Asia (SEA) market for road-paving projects like highways and airports.

Job Description

Conducting designated competitor analysis and identifying new product opportunities, in collaboration with commercial, R&D, or marketing teams.

Generated insights from competitor analysis.

Providing sales analysis of customer business to identify necessary changes required to meet expected goals.

Improvement in sales performance based on analysis recommendations.

Developing and determining innovation opportunities for new product technology, market expansion, or customer portfolio enhancement.

Conducting new market assessments in coordination with the marketing team.

Coordinating with internal teams (Customer Service / Fulfillment, Quality, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, etc.) to manage and address commercial issues for new market development opportunities.

Analyzing new customer development, initial sales, pricing, and forecasting for potential rollout opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years of experience in specialty chemical sales
  • A Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, material science, chemistry or any relevant field is preferred
  • Must have technical background in Polymeric Modified Bitumen (PMB)
  • Experience in cultivating new customer relationships and driving product technology innovation.
  • Ability to work in ambiguity to identify new technology, customers, or improve existing technology for customers.
