Due to an internal move, we are looking for a new Managing Director.Job DescriptionReporting to the group CEO, the Managing Director is responsible for overseeing business operations, including human resources, finance, and communications. You need to be skilled in consulting services operations. Primarily, we want you to drive efficiency in operations while ensuring achievement of strategic goals.To be successful in this role, you will be measured on:Establishing strong SOPs that lead to higher consistency and efficiency in business operations.Increasing business in line with the corporate growth strategy.Ensuring profitability of the entity and introducing technology and processes that drive better long-term profitability.Being highly skilled in financial planning and project accounting to ensure each project achieves profitability and client time lines are strictly adhered to, while ensuring cash flow tracking.Conducting reviews to identify major risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.Developing processes to execute tenders, designs and projects implementation more efficiently.Presenting to and consulting with the board on business trends and competitor analysis.Developing talent including architects, designers, technicians and project managers.Own the P&L for Singapore business, where you will enjoy a profit share.The Successful ApplicantBachelor's or Master's degree in architecture, engineering or a relevant technical background.Ten or more years in managing a design, architecture, engineering or construction consultancy business.Experience in managing design and/or engineering teams as well project managers with full design services on medium to large projects up to 500m SGD construction costsAbility to develop a market penetration strategy derived from the overall corporate growth strategy.Expertise in managing a P&L with $10-$20m revenue.Strong communication and presentation skills.What's on OfferOur client, a profitable private firm, has a strong culture of hiring and grooming individuals with an empathetic leadership style.
