Job Description

  • Oversee the Maintenance and Service team in Singapore to ensure timely execution and completion of work orders and accurate time tracking.
  • Collaborate with engineers to optimize resource allocation for maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with local regulatory codes and safety standards, particularly for building electrical systems.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements relevant to Singapore, actively participating in site-wide programs and promptly reporting incidents and hazards.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of utilities and wastewater services in Singapore, including the maintenance of chillers, HVAC systems, and cooling towers to support all end users.
  • Establish effective service contracts and inventory management with local vendors for critical building electrical components, maximizing equipment uptime and reliability while integrating with IFM strategies.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Facility Management (IFM) teams to ensure timely maintenance and service delivery for essential systems, such as fire protection, lighting, and emergency systems.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives by reviewing maintenance reports, preventive maintenance checklists, and logs related to chillers and HVAC systems to enhance overall utilities and facility operations.
  • Support the department's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives in compliance with Singaporean regulations, promoting best practices in all maintenance activities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement among team members.

The Successful Applicant

  • Possess a degree or diploma in Engineering or a related field.
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the operation and maintenance of plant utilities and facility systems, including electrical components, preferably in industries such as fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, or petrochemicals.
  • Familiar with basic functionality of SAP (Maintenance module) and knowledgeable about Building Management Systems, high-tension/low-tension (HT/LV), and HVAC systems.
  • Demonstrate strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills, along with a proven ability to solve problems effectively.
  • A proactive individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively with different teams and levels within the organization.
  • Aware of relevant regulations, rules, and environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements; certification as a Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW) is a plus.
