About Our Client

Our client is a leading multinational mining and metals company headquartered in UK. They have grown into one of the world's largest producers of essential commodities

Job Description


  • Manage the end-to-end process of bookings, coordination, and monitoring, while reducing freight costs, optimizing working capital, and meeting commercial objectives.
  • Provide prompt updates to relevant parties on bookings and coordinate with stakeholders for any changes.
  • Track shipping schedules, update systems as needed, and address issues that could impact shipping, vessel delays, or customer deliveries.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for escalated operational issues from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle freight payments and resolve payment disputes with vendors promptly.
  • Ensure accurate accrual of freight costs at month-end.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors such as shipping lines, 3PL providers, and internal teams.
  • Investigate and resolve transportation and shipping claims.
  • Take part in continuous improvement projects, identify process gaps, and recommend initiatives to lower costs or enhance service quality.
  • Attend performance-related meetings and offer constructive feedback.
  • Comply with the company's logistics policies and system requirements consistently.
  • Foster a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture within logistics, ensuring adherence to the company's standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain/logistics
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or any related field
  • Profiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Prior SAP experience is a plus
  • Experience with project cargo is a plus.
