Our Client is a world leader in medical instruments. With a great history of family business on its way to becoming a global enterprise, they have sales and service organisations as well as manufacturing facilities in various countries and aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking for a Manager in Logistics to be based at their HQ in Singapore.

Job Description

You will be reporting to the Senior Manager in Logistics directly. The majority of your responsibilities will include daily operational activities as well as providing guidance to the business to assure shipping operations are in compliance to standard operating procedures. You are to be responsible and accountable in fulfilling customer orders around the world for shipping and inventory businesses.

Your responsibilities include:

  • To manage shipping operations and ensuring delivery on time, satisfying all deliveries for internal and external customers
  • To manage related shipping activities such as customer queries, sales order returns and complains
  • Drive Operations KPI targets and plan business processes from start to end
  • Managing and presenting business cases for continuous improvements on shipping operations based on the analysis of internal/external KPIs
  • Establish partnerships, manage logistics service providers, and optimise logistics processes as well as delivering service level agreements
  • To develop and lead a team in improving Shipment Operations systems and processes, driving best operations within the groups in the company
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to lead and participate in Kaizen projects
  • Maintain compliance with the Quality and EHS requirement

The Successful Applicant

You should have a Degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / related disciplines and have significant years of related working experience in logistics operations. It is essential that you can demonstrate your ability to turn ideas into actions and operate tactically and strategically. You must possess very strong communication and influencing skills; with the ability to work well at all levels in a fast-paced environment and stay customer-focused. Knowledge and experience in Intelligence and Predictive Analytics is required and you should be proficient in ERP, MRP systems such as SAP.
