About Our Client

This role reports to the Global Head of Logistics and will be managing a small team. The successful candidate will shape and execute logistics strategies, policies and best practices to enhance performance and drive cost optimization across the Asia Pacific region.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage logistics operations, collaborating with stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
  • Develop and implement logistics principles, policies, and processes.
  • Optimize transport modes, routes, and frequencies for cost efficiency.
  • Address logistics challenges while maintaining quality and budget requirements.
  • Analyze logistics changes and report results; establish performance metrics.
  • Support and drive global logistics initiatives with senior leadership.
  • Identify and eliminate waste in the logistics process.
  • Analyze data trends and provide logistics insights for cost improvements.
  • Build and lead a cohesive, dynamic logistics team.

The Successful Applicant

  • 10-15 years of logistics management experience in the chemical industry.
  • Knowledge of commercial agreements and regional logistics management.
  • Strategic, analytical and financial acumen with data analytics skills.
  • Project management skills and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent people management, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with proven leadership abilities.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and adaptable.
  • Proficient in Data Analytics tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SAP HANA, advanced MS Excel
