Job Description

  • Evaluate complex legal claims and commercial disputes for potential investment opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence, including legal, financial, and risk analysis, to assess case merits and enforceability.
  • Draft and negotiate transaction documents, including funding agreements and related contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to structure deals and manage portfolio risk.
  • Monitor ongoing litigation or insolvency proceedings and provide strategic input to optimize outcomes.
  • Stay abreast of developments in litigation finance, insolvency regimes, and cross-border enforcement trends.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

  • Qualified attorney admitted to the US or UK bar.
  • Graduate of a top-tier law school.
  • Minimum 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Strong background in banking, insolvency, or complex litigation matters.
  • Experience in either a leading law firm or as in-house counsel in a financial institution or corporate setting.
  • Exceptional analytical, negotiation, and drafting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
