About Our Client

Our client is an established European multinational banking and financial services group which has presence in many continents and countries worldwide. They are a cooperative bank and serves about 10 million customers across the globe, and specialise in business products and solutions customised for various services including personal, wholesale and retail banking.

Job Description

  • Assist business and support units in preparing and reviewing contracts for transactions
  • Provide legal advice and guidance for transactional matters
  • Be the primary service contact for internal clients
  • Provide updates on changes to latest legislations and regulations which may affect business operations
  • Maintain agreements and contracts for usual types of relationships between the business and other parties
  • Maintain good stakeholder management with account managers and credit approvers
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including clients, suppliers and external counsels
  • Support the Head of Legal and Compliance accordingly

The Successful Applicant

  • Degree in Law with minimum 5 years of PQE as in-house legal counsel or private practice experience in law firms
  • Possess strong negotiation and problem-solving skillsets
  • Collaborative and able to work as a strong team player
  • Experience in trade financing or commercial/corporate banking is an advantage
