Job Description

  • Develop and implement data protection and privacy policies and programs to ensure compliance with relevant data privacy laws and regulations.
  • Manage and address data privacy issues to ensure successful compliance with company policies and relevant laws.
  • Oversee and manage data access and data subject requests across business functions.
  • Implement data governance policies and initiatives, including data mapping, data quality, and data sharing.
  • Provide privacy support for new product launches and initiatives.
  • Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments to integrate privacy requirements into new scenarios and processes, following "Privacy by Design" principles.
  • Design and implement training and awareness programs to ensure policy adherence.
  • Lead or participate in various projects within or across departments.
  • Stay informed about current and emerging trends and legislative changes in data privacy and their impact on the organization.
  • Maintain organized records of all compliance activities and provide regular reporting.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimally Bachelor degree or above preferred.
  • CIPP/E, CIPP/US and CIPM certifications are preferred but not mandatory
  • Qualified lawyer under common law or EU (any EU jurisdiction) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience (PQE), including law firm or in-house roles.
  • Familiarity with data privacy laws and regulations in Singapore, with experience in a data privacy compliance program.
  • Strong communication skills, adept at interacting with both external and internal stakeholders.
  • Prior experience in gaming or TMT industry is preferred.
