About Our Client
Our Client is a Commodities futures brokerage from China who are rapidly expanding in the region and Singapore is a strategic hub for them. They have over 500 employees and aim to be a first-class derivatives facilitator which provides clients a comprehensive wealth management platform with research and technology serve as the core competitiveness.
Developing and maintaining a compliance plan to monitor compliance with internal policies and external legislation and regulations
Be responsible for tracking regulatory changes and perform initial impact assessment on regulatory changes to Singapore.
Review trades surveillance reports
Review business contracts, IT procurement, employment, consultancy agreements to ensure compliance to group policies and to advice on the legal risks involved.
The Successful Applicant
To be successful you will be a qualified lawyer with 5-6 years PQE in the region. The ability to speak/ read in mandarin is preferred as many stakeholder are in China.
Strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to work under a diverse and multicultural environment.
Excellent organisation skills, with ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Strong drafting skills.
