Job Description

  • Conduct advanced research on atmospheric hazards to support risk assessment models.
  • Strong in catastrophe risk modeling principles including model setup, calibration, and validation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into operational frameworks.
  • Present research findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Monitor and analyse global atmospheric trends and their implications for the insurance industry.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers within the department.
  • Strong grasp of regional climate dynamics and the underlying drivers of extreme weather in APAC

The Successful Applicant

A successful Lead Research Scientist of Atmospheric Hazard should have:

  • PHD degree in atmospheric sciences, meteorology, or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in advanced data analysis and hazard modelling techniques.
  • Experience in applying research to practical risk management challenges.
