As a IT Application Developer & Support engineer this role will work on developing, testing and supporting / troubleshooting programs for bank's automation software in Java, Shell, PowerShell and/or SQL. It will also support Business As Usual day-to-day requests from business users, revolving around the bank's Core Banking interfacing applications.

About Our Client

Our esteemed client, is a well known name in the banking domain. Its main business focus is business with corporate customers, real-estate financing, private business, and banks.

This is a 1 year agency contract role - renewable/ extendable.

Job Description

  • Develop, Test and Support/Troubleshoot programs for:
    • automation software in Java, Shell, PowerShell and/or SQL
    • Business As Usual day-to-day requests from business users, revolving around the bank's Core Banking interfacing applications and reports
    • The data warehouse project, per the software requirements specification
  • Conduct unit testing of software to ensure quality of deliverables, ensure all requirements are met and signed off before they are deployed to production
  • Provide supporting documentation and other information as and when needed, to enable effective maintenance and support of applications
  • Support the setup a source code repository or Build pipeline (Git / Azure DevOps)
  • Follow ITIL processes such as Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Release & Deployment Management
  • Adhere to operational policies and standards to ensure applications are developed with consistent, maintainable code to support risk and compliance management

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Atleast 2 years experience on-hands on Java coding
  • Tech Stack / Worked on in one or more of the following: Java, Shell, PowerShell, SQL, Springboot
  • Familiarity with ITIL v3, Agile practices and DevOps methodologies
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services is ideal
