This is a senior client-facing role within the global distribution team. The candidate is responsible for managing and expanding relationships with incumbent institutional relationships in Southeast Asia (and ex Japan and Australia) and onboarding new relationships within distributor / placement agents and select private clients, including family offices and ultra high-net worth individuals.

Job Description

1. Grow the firm's distribution franchise in Singapore & Southeast Asia by building a network of investors, across distribution partners, which include SWFs, pension fund, large corporate institutions, private banks, financial institutions, private banks, multi-family offices, advisors, and brokerage platforms, as well as select direct private clients of size, including family offices and ultra high-net worth individuals. The focus is expected to be more on institutions and distribution partners, but access to direct clients is also preferred.

2. Lead the development of a strategy and business plan to achieve the above, in consultation with the distribution team's senior management and the Business Development Support team

3. Adhere to processes of objective setting, account planning, campaign tracking, market mapping, completion of call reports, KYC and client risk management.

4. Syndicate alternative investment products to existing and new clients, across both institutional clients, distribution partners and select direct clients. Products include, but are not limited to:

a) Private Equity: leveraged buyouts and technology investments in North America and Europe, and growth capital in the Emerging Markets

b) Real Assets: Primarily Real Estate, core plus opportunities in the US, as well as infrastructure opportunities

b) Credit: Primarily CLO equity products, but also CLO debt tranche products.

d) Other types of offerings that may seek to launch from time to time.

5. Products will include deal-by-deal format, co-invests, secondaries, primary close-ended funds, continuation vehicles etc.

6. Provide a high touch service to investors through ongoing interactions and portfolio updates.

7. Collaborate with Business Development Support, Product Specialists, and Client Administrators to deliver investment proposals and respond to various client requests.

8. Oversee and project manage distributor onboarding processes, across both commercial, legal and administrative workstreams, in coordination with respective teams based in other geographies.

9. Expand fundraising capacity through prospecting, right sizing, cross-selling, and minimizing churn.

The Successful Applicant

1. At least 10-15 years of alternative asset fundraising experience, substantively in Singapore and SE Asia, with a well-recognized financial institution(s).

2. Track record of distribution / fundraising / placement in Singapore and SE Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and Taiwan) across multiple investor segments.

3. Holistic understanding of all alternative asset classes with emphasis / familiarity of real assets and credit management

4. Licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and/or meeting the fit and proper criteria.

5. Ability to understand risk / return profiles, value proposition, and asset allocation positioning of various alternative investment products.

6. Strong entrepreneurial drive, willingness to work hard and achieve objectives.

7. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal skills and have a strong team orientation.

8.Candidate would need to be based in Singapore with travel to the region
