Procurement Manager will be responsible for CAPEX and equipment spend, partnering with sales, engineering and operations to drive cost competitiveness and supply resilience.

Our client is a large multinational organisation operating complex manufacturing and engineering networks across Southeast Asia. They are investing heavily in CAPEX, automation and equipment modernisation to support growth, operational resilience and long‑term cost competitiveness.

Job Description

  • Own regional procurement strategy for equipment, CAPEX and manufacturing infrastructure across the region.
  • Manage significant spend portfolios, delivering value through sourcing strategy, negotiation and supplier optimisation.
  • Lead RFIs/ RFQs, value engineering, cost analysis and contract negotiations for equipment and capital projects.
  • Partner closely with sales, engineering, operations, finance and senior leadership to support investment decisions and execution.
  • Drive supplier identification, qualification, and rapid scaling to ensure supply continuity in volatile market conditions.
  • Deliver quantifiable cost savings, with clear articulation (pricing, specification, commercial terms).
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities across complex CAPEX and manufacturing initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong regional experience in procurement within FMCG or EPC environments.
  • Demonstrated ownership of equipment / CAPEX / manufacturing spend at scale.
  • Proven ability to influence and manage senior, high‑level stakeholders.
  • Track record in developing and executing procurement strategy
  • Experience delivering measurable, sustainable cost savings
  • Technical strength with clear understanding of how to buy equipments.
  • Hands‑on experience in vendor specification/ technical discussions, commercial negotiations
  • Strong commercial acumen, analytical mindset and communication skills.
