About Our Client
An innovative MNC manufacturer of pumps, valves and systems for various water applications including technology for water extraction and groundwater management, water treatment and conditioning, flood control as well as seawater desalination. They also manufacture products for waste water handling, transport and treatment through to disposal, ensuring smooth process flows in industrial, municipal and domestic waste water transport.
With tens of thousands of successfully implemented projects across the world - their customers have come to rely on their expertise and technological leadership in the field of water and wastewater treatment.
This Head of Sales role will report directly to the Managing Director for SEA and the focus will be on the Singapore market with some key projects extending into other countries across South East Asia.
Responsibilities of the Head of Sales role include:
- Lead, guide and coach a team of local vertically integrated Sales Managers (team size is 5-6)
- Oversee and manage the business for of pumps, valves and systems for various water applications in Singapore
- Full revenue responsibility and ensuring that both financial and operational objectives are met
- Develop and execute a successful sales strategy for continued growth within the Singapore market
- Produce reliable sales forecasts for your team and deliver projected sales revenue and profit targets
- Strategically identify potential areas of new business - to further penetrate existing markets but also to identify and execute business in new markets
- Effectively manage frontline key client relationships (e.g. distributors, contractors, EPC consultants) - you and your team will assist customers in selection of which products/ solutions are best suited to their particular needs
- Plan, develop and implement sales strategies for the Singapore market
- Provide company with market intelligence and competitor information
The Successful Applicant
Requirements for the Head of Sales include:
- Minimum of 10 years' sales experience in the water treatment or pumps/ valves industry and a strong track record of delivery
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership role - managing a team of sales people and to include the local Singapore market
- Background in selling mechanically engineered precision parts/ components (e.g pumps, valves etc)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and effective at building long term and mutually beneficial business relationships
- Highly organised and able to efficiently prioritise workload when managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Customer focused and dependable individual who is self-motivated and prepared to go the extra mile when required
- Analytical mind-set with strong IT skills
- Ideally minimum diploma in Engineering subject - preferably Mechanical
