About Our Client

Our client is a global renown MNC, leading in industrial manufacturing. With the increasing importance of digitalization and automation, my client has been the driving force of digital transformation for industrial players. They have been working with various industries from process to discrete industry, providing digitalization and process automation solution.

We are now in search of a Head of Sales who has experience in bringing digitalization solutions and process automation to the Chemical &Pharma Industry. The selected candidate will be leading a team of managers across SEA and work closely with the Management team.

Job Description

  • Expand digitalization and automation business with partners and clients in the Chemical & Pharma industry.
  • Regional growth with a focus on account development and project business development
  • Identify and create customer opportunities, then translate them into effective solutions to targetted customers.
  • Accountable for increasing share of wallet for certain relevant key customers (though channels and integrators) based on Product, systems, solutions, and services.
  • Capable of combining industry vertical expertise with digital apps, manufacturing execution systems, and an automation-focused portfolio of solutions to offer actionable stages in the prospect-to-customer conversion process.
  • Give guidance and be able to lead an intercultural and distributed team in ASEAN to ensure business KPI is achieved.
  • Work closely with Management team, aligning on go-to-market strategy for SEA countries.
  • Work closely with Global Account Managers, as well as HQ.
  • Good understanding of market trends across the region
  • Drive digitalization initiative as per clients' need
  • Plan and implement the business proposal for key accounts
  • Keep a good record of activities on the CRM system
  • Be the middle person between HQ expert to local sales resources
  • Organize conferences for an internal and external party
  • Deploy push & Pull strategy on sales channel for expansion of the share of wallet

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in Process automation in the industry with prior engineering, sales, and business development
  • Good track record in the Chemical and Pharma industry
  • Master's degree in Computer engineering, electrical engineering, biotech, and Chemical
  • Able to provide a consultative approach to address client's key concerns a
  • Over 5 years leading a diverse cultural team.
  • Well versed in Process automation, Manufacturing system, software solutions, and industrial network
  • Good knowledge of digitalization technologies like digital twins, simulations, cloud technologies, SaaS, networking, and IoT.
  • Track record in developing new market
  • Worked with automation systems like PLCs, process instrumentation & Distributed control systems
  • Worked with OEMs, End-users, EPCs, and Integrators
  • Strong key account management skills, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a strong relationship with the client
  • Travel as per business needs, less than 50%
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage both internal and external stakeholders.
