Job Description

The Head of Sales, APAC, based in Singapore, Malaysia, or Thailand, will be responsible for driving sales growth that exceeds market growth rates through strategic initiatives and effective leadership of the commercial team, including sales and customer service. The primary focus will be on achieving growth and maximising share with distributors. Your primarily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sales and Business Development: Take full responsibility for sales and business development across the APAC region, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets and profitability goals for the company's products and solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Lead the APAC sales team with accountability for delivering the annual Sales Plan commitments.
  • Customer and Distributor Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with key customers and distributors, including reaching relevant verticals and end users, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Distributor Network Management: Supervise distributor networks in key markets by managing agent relationships and spearheading initiatives to optimise channels.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement sales strategies, identifying and seizing growth opportunities in line with organisational objectives.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Plan and execute strategic initiatives to capitalise on market trends, emerging technologies, and customer preferences, fostering sustainable growth and a competitive edge.
  • Professional Representation: Represent the company professionally in alignment with its core values, ensuring all activities adhere to legal and ethical standards.

The Successful Applicant

  • MSc or BSc in Business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior leadership roles within multinational companies.
  • Proven commercial track record of success in a solution-based and consultative industrial B2B sales environment.
  • Prior experience in the environmental health and safety (non-PPE), valve, or engineering solution product sector.
  • Advanced analytical and technical acumen to understand business dynamics and identify growth opportunities.
  • Experience as a people manager, with an entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, facilitating effective stakeholder engagement and relationship cultivation.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong appetite for growth and continuous improvement.
  • Exemplary integrity and a deep commitment to driving revenue and expanding business operations.
