They aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking for a Head of Procurement for Asia.
Reporting to the VP of Global Procurement, your major responsibilities will include the development, execution as well as formulation of policies to drive a consistent approach towards all sourcing, purchasing and tendering activity within the business conducted in an honest, competitive, fair and transparent manner that delivers best value, ensure cost savings are generated, taking into account the required specification, quality, service, delivery and reliability.
* To lead regional procurement efforts in the contract manufacturing partnership across North America.
* To work with business partners and negotiate contractual arrangements with vendors to ensure that value for money and excellent service levels are maintained and optimised across all categories of expenditure.
*Having leadership acumen to ensure top-level talent is in place within Asia while continually developing current talent to achieve strategic goals and performance in alignment with global strategy.
*Having full ownership and accountability for operational excellence, business risk, profit improvement and corporate governance for Asia.
* Strong ability to lead business partners and vendors negotiations, recommend vendor selection and implement contracts designed to encourage continual improvement.
*Spearheading Cost savings Projects for the region - (structural changes) longer-term vs strategic moves.
*Strong Stakeholder Management
The Successful Applicant
You should possess a degree in Supply Chain or equivalent related studies and you must have significant years of relevant experiences in Sourcing & Operations with a solid experience in the Chemical Industry would be preferred with exposure in Leadership will be an advantage. You should also be strong with analytics as well as be sensitive to trends. Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work in a fast paced and collaborative environment is essential.
