About Our Client

Our client is a series-A start-up that has raised close to $50m in equity and debt and is backed by renowned institutional and individual investors. The firm operates with a headcount of 300-500 and expect to establish their regional hub in Singapore, with a few CXO hires, to be closer to their investor network. In line with their regional expansion, talent acquisition, development, retention, and organizational design have become the hottest topics and a new Head of HR, Southeast Asia role as been created in Singapore.

Job Description

As a member of the leadership team, you will lead the firm's people strategy. You will have a growth mindset, and an ability to optimize structure to deliver the best thinking and delivery for clients. You will need to inspire and attract the industry's top talent and lead the creation of a strong culture.

Reporting to the CEO (Co-founder), the successful applicant will:

  • Drive key topics like TA, C&B, OD, TD, and Operations
  • Take full ownership of talent management across countries where the client operates.
  • Be a subject matter expert on talent strategies, mid-career and graduate hiring and employer branding.
  • Manage a team of HR Business Partners in the region, who are specialized by business unit and geography.
  • Play a pivotal role in building new tech hubs and through which, the client can provide simple, modern, and intuitive financial services.

The Successful Applicant

As a successful applicant, you will have:

  • Degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • Ten or more years in a regional or global HR role, with at least five years in a leadership role managing a team of HRBPs.
  • Experience in a Fintech, SaaS, AdTech, BNPL hyper growth start-up environment would be preferred.
  • Since this role reports to the CEO directly, minimum five years in business partnering at CXO level, with a strong track record of driving C&B, L&D, TA functions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Flexibility to travel across ASEAN, Japan, Middle East & other markets where the future tech hubs might be based.
