About Our Client

Our client is an aggressively growing tech start-up to watch in the market today, given their strong backing form their parent organization which is a world recognised conglomerate. They leverage on the global leadership of the parent organization, tapping onto the networks and technologies they have in different sectors such as digital payments, logistics, consumer marketing, eCommerce marketplace and more. They have been identifying high potential individuals to be part of their core central team based in the Singapore office. One of the critical hires would be the Head of Brand Marketing & Partnerships, who will be responsible for developing the Go-To-Market strategies from a branding, communications and partnerships aspect.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Head of Brand Marketing & Partnerships will have overall responsibility of communication development, branding, social media management and building deep consumer understanding for the region. You will also be up to the challenge of the following:

  • Be an influential leader while managing the regional marketing team in aspects not limited to public relations, events marketing, influencer marketing
  • Being the brand's storyteller through all mediums - creating a marketing and communications strategy that is highly engaging and edgy
  • Establishing and maintaining strong partnerships with the media
  • Design a structured framework including regional KPIs and local targets for the marketing team
  • Study and improve the company's brand positioning through relevant industry competitor analysis, further innovation and staying updated with new marketing techniques
  • Manage and allocate marketing budget to specific events, campaigns and use of agency support
  • Engage marketing agency partners such as those catering to creatives, digital advertising, market research and social media

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications, Media, Marketing or related discipline
  • 8 years or more experience in marketing, digital, consulting or strategy functions
  • Solid expertise and experience in execution of marketing strategies and campaigns in both a strategic and tactical sense
  • Extensive knowledge of comprehensive marketing campaign processes and strong project management skills
  • Current knowledge of digital communications techniques and social media engagement is preferred
  • Independent individual with a go-getter attitude, excellent negotiation skills as well as the capability to think on his/her feet
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Leadership experience with strong team management and influencing by example
  • Flexible to travel up to 40% when the situation allows
