About Our Client
Our client is a diversified group in this region, looking for further invest in the FMCG and F&B sector. With the exciting opportunity for growth in the emerging markets in Asia, they are looking for an experienced commercial leader/General Manager in this greenfield project. This role will be based in one of the Emerging country in South East Asia.
You will be one of the first few employees of the company and will be overall responsible for the strategy and growth plans of the company. You will embrace the company's vision, improve and implement the business strategies and set goals to deliver performance for the next five years. Working together with the relevant parties, you will develop the product positioning, formulate marketing strategy for product launch and subsequent brand visibility. You should keep abreast of the competitive landscape and consumer trends to ensure the brand and products stays relevant. As an inspiring leader, you will instil a high performance culture and build an environment where you can attract, retain and develop talent. As a start-up, it is also necessary that you put in place the right company procedures and set the right culture for the ambitious plans of the company.
The Successful Applicant
- A recognized degree with at least 15 years of relevant working experience within Asia/emerging markets where recent years were spent in a commercial/sales leadership role
- Knowledge of the alcohol beverage sector would be a strong advantage
- Track record in delivering profits, results and transformation with full P&L responsibility
- Understanding of the industry trends, insights and competitors
- Entrepreneurial, able to think 'out of the box', ambitious, strong business acumen
- "Hands-on" and able to work in an autonomous and thrive in a less structured environment
- Culturally sensitive and ability to adapt quickly to a different working environment and fast moving industry
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with ability to interact and built strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders
