They are currently looking for a Financial Controller to oversee and direct all financial and regulatory reporting matters of the company.

Job Description

Reporting directly to the CFO, your key responsibilities would include:

  • Oversee the overall financial reporting of the firm and ensuring the reports are prepared accurately and released on time together with the "management discussion and analysis" to assist the management to understand the financial information and in strategic decision making.
  • Manage and streamline the accounting functions and operations and oversee management reporting across financial investments and property investments overseas, including P&L, cash flow, balance sheet and KPIs.
  • Review books and records of individual group companies to maintain accurate and well documented financial records.
  • Liquidity and Treasury Management with payments and cash positions.
  • Cash flow forecasting for individual entities and consolidated - ensuring sufficient liquidity in each entity to meet upcoming payments and capital calls.
  • Liaise with management of private equity fund investment of capital calls, distributions, tax documents, KYC/AML, other document requests by external parties, and liaising with banks.
  • Ensure all reports are compiled in accordance with relevant accounting standards, such as GAAP or IFRS, contributing to the organization's credibility.
  • Collaborate with both internal team members and external auditors to facilitate the annual audit.
  • Prepare and submit the annual regulatory tax filings in accordance with local and national tax laws, ensuring timely and accurate compliance.



The Successful Applicant

To succeed in this role, your should ideally possess the following:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Finance or relevant discipline
  • At least 8 years of Finance & Accounting experience in the Financial Services or Family Office space
  • Good analytical skills with exceptional ability to analyse complex financial data and derive informed decisions.
  • Good knowledge on Financial Regulations and Practices.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting standards (GAAP or IFRS), financial reporting, data analysis, and financial forecasting.
  • Preferably holds experience in Fair Value (FV) accounting and corporate accounting within a financial institution or asset management context.
  • Familiarity with EDB GIS-FO option and MAS 13U tax incentive scheme is highly desirable.
