About Our Client

Our client is a market leader with global operations in the commercial real estate space. They have registered strong growth in the recent years and continuously invest in resources and technology to drive automation and process efficiency. As part of their post-finance transformation efforts, they are now looking for a finance manager to support the controllership function for Singapore.

Job Description

You will manage the overall controllership and reporting function for all the entities in Singapore and ensure timely preparation of budgets, forecasts and management reports. You will be responsible for the monthly P&L variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and review financial statements of entities in the region. You will partner closely with the commercial teams to drive compliance with revenue recognition requirements and highlight variances to drive performance metrics. You will be the key person in implementing new accounting standards and advising on business transactions. You will support the SOX process and support in ongoing process improvements projects.

The Successful Applicant

You should be Accounting degree qualified and/or with professional qualifications in CA/CPA. You should have more than 7 years of working experience with the initial years starting in Big 4 environment followed by a controllership/financial reporting role. Understanding of US GAAP and SOX will be great to have but not necessary. You are someone with strong attention to detail, organised and a can-do attitude. You have a proactive personality, with strong analytical skills and confiden in communication with senior stakeholders.
