About Our Client
Our client is a company in the energy sector under a reputable group. Their business model consists of Power and Oil & Gas, with subsidiaries located regionally in Asia. The team is currently looking for a strong Finance candidate to head up the Finance team in Singapore, with aims to have the company listed in the future.
This role reports to the Senior Vice President of Finance in HQ and will head up the Finance function here in Singapore. You will be responsible for timely review of group consolidation, analysis of management reports and statutory financial statement at both company and group level. With high visibility to senior stakeholders in countries like China and Indonesia, you will work closely with country heads in different subsidiaries to bridge the gaps between management team, liaise closely with external parties like bankers, auditors and tax consultants. You will also review annual budgets, work with treasury department, and be the subject matter expert on taxation regulations and local regulatory requirements. You will be a key contributor to drive the business to greater heights and be involved in key business decisions.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally, you have a degree in Accountancy and is CA/CPA qualified. You will have at least 8 years of working experience, preferably starting career at a Big 4 before developing commercial experience doing group consolidation for listed companies. An individual with high learning agility, strong understanding of tax matters and set up of new legal entities would be highly advantageous. An effective communicator with good stakeholder management, you will Language capabilities would also be highly preferred as this role requires frequent business partnering with key stakeholders in China and Indonesia. Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage.
