We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Equity Research Analyst to join our family office investment team. The successful candidate will focus on long-only equity investments, primarily in the U.S. market, and specialize in one of the following sectors: Consumer, Technology, or Metals/Commodities.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental research on companies within the assigned sector (Consumer, Technology, or Metals/Commodities), including financial modelling, valuation, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Develop investment theses based on rigorous analysis of company fundamentals, industry dynamics, and macroeconomic trends.
  • Monitor and track existing portfolio holdings, identifying key catalysts, risks, and valuation changes.
  • Prepare and present investment reports and recommendations to the investment committee, highlighting actionable insights and long-term opportunities.
  • Engage directly with company management teams, sell-side analysts, and industry experts to deepen sector knowledge and validate research findings.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and emerging themes affecting the U.S. equity landscape.
  • Collaborate with the broader investment team to share insights and contribute to overall portfolio strategy and risk management.



The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in equity research, investment management, or a related buy-side/sell-side role.
  • Strong academic background in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; CFA qualification (completed or in progress) preferred.
  • Proven expertise or strong interest in one of the following sectors: Consumer, Technology, or Metals/Commodities.
  • Solid understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and equity modelling.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and written communication skills.
  • Highly self-driven, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a small, dynamic team environment.
  • Passion for long-term, fundamental investing and a disciplined approach to research and portfolio contribution.
