Our client is a leading global data centre operator headquartered in Singapore, with operations across Asia, Europe, and the US. They develop and operate large-scale, high-performance data centres that support hyperscale and enterprise customers worldwide.

Job Description

  • Provide engineering support for data centre operations as the SME for electrical and other critical systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for technical issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Act as the Level 2 / Level 3 escalation point for complex infrastructure issues from site operations teams.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, procedures, MOPs, drawings, and testing documents.
  • Manage the lifecycle of critical equipment, including maintenance strategy, upgrades, and replacement planning.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify points of failure and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning from an engineering perspective.
  • Work closely with teams such as Site Operations, Service Assurance, and Technical Service Management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with the Technology and Project Delivery team to improve the design and maintainability of new data centre builds.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 8 years of experience in operations, maintenance, commissioning, construction, or design of mission-critical facilities (data centre experience preferred).
  • Regional experience is an advantage.
  • Certifications related to Energy and Environmental Management such as SCEM, Green Mark, LEED GA, or LEED AP are preferred.
  • Experience managing certification programmes such as ANSI/TIA-942, Uptime, BCA-IMDA Green Mark, SS564, LEED, or ISO.
  • Professional certifications such as PE, PMP, Chartered Engineer, or Uptime Accredited Tier Designer/Specialist are preferred.
  • Familiar with industry standards such as ASHRAE, Uptime Institute, ISO, NFPA, and Singapore Standards.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
