About Our Client

Our client, a hyper growth start-up in the cross-border supply chain space, is applying deep technology solutions to create impact in an otherwise low-tech industry. They aim to provide businesses in emerging markets competitive cross-border logistics solutions. The tech-led full-stack operations offer superior visibility, reliability and efficiency to all stakeholders involved in the cross-border supply chain. Besides the technology focus, our client aims to cover topics such as carbon offsetting, low-emission fuels, EV vehicles etc. In the last year, our client has grown to more than 50m USD ARR, hired more than two hundred staff globally and opened ten offices.Now, the focus is to build South East Asia & China, Middle East & Africa markets over the next year and have a leadership team out of Singapore and another in Dubai. From the Singapore hub, target markets will be China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia etc. Our Client is looking for a Director, Sales and Operations who will be responsible for launching new markets in the South East Asia region and drive partnerships and sales generation.

Job Description

  • Set up and drive processes for high-impact strategic and commercial initiatives
  • Drive partnerships and sales generation for the business
  • Launch new markets in the South East Asia region
  • Partner with the leaders to achieve the annual target run rate
  • Work with the SEA leaders to build the regional team
  • Design and implement operational frameworks that will help to scale the business
  • Provide insights to the business through analytics and market research
  • Implement evidence-based decision making, apply thoughtful analytics to business opportunities, and identify success metrics / develop reporting to track progress against goals

The Successful Applicant

  • MBA or Masters' Degree from a reputable institution
  • Four or more years of experience in management consulting
  • Ability to work collaboratively and drive results with senior leadership
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on attention to detail
  • Must possess entrepreneurial spirit- is self-motivated and proactive
  • Evidence of success in leading key business initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to take a project from ideation through to implementation
