Our client is a successful and profitable player in QSR. With operations in more than thirty countries and a significant retail presence across several key brands, they have delivered consecutive record years in revenue and profitability. They have also built and acquired major QSR brands and with this expansion, are looking to widen their market dominance. The Franchising Director, APMEA will manage the international franchising operations of APAC, Middle East, and Europe.

Job Description

Reporting to the President for International, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Franchising Director to lead the expansion of their brand's presence through establishment of successful franchising partnerships, including identification of potential markets, recruitment and selection of franchisees and implementation of franchising operation strategies in new and existing markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Franchise Strategy Development: develop long-term strategies to ensure growth of the franchise business by analysing market trends, competitor data.
  • Franchise Recruitment & Selection: identify and appoint prospective franchisees in target markets and maintain a pool of franchisees for new markets.
  • Contract Negotiation: lead negotiations with potential franchisees.
  • Compliance: ensure agreements are in line with country compliance and group governance standards.
  • Performance Management: evaluate performance of the international franchisees and ensure brand consistency across all locations.
  • International Expansion: one of the core focus areas for this role, you need to drive strategic planning for launch of new markets.
  • Stakeholder Management: build trust with new and existing franchise partners, provide them necessary support by way of financing solutions, training etc.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years' experience in franchising within the QSR or retail industry.
  • In-depth understanding of franchising models, regulations, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in EMEA, ANZ, GCR regions is highly preferred.
  • Extensive travel needed in this role, across APAC, Europe, and Middle East.
