Our client, a Family Office, is seeking a seasoned investment professional to play a key leadership role within its investment function. This position will be responsible for managing and executing the family's global investment strategy across public equities and/or real estate, with responsibility for research, portfolio construction, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring. The individual will be a key decision-maker and trusted advisor to the principals.

Job Description

Investment Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Shaping and executing the long-term investment strategy across listed equities and/or real estate.
  • Lead idea generation, thematic research, and investment recommendations with clear risk-reward frameworks.
  • Oversee portfolio construction, asset allocation considerations, and position sizing.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity, and risk exposures, ensuring alignment with family objectives.



Research & Due Diligence

  • Conduct deep fundamental research on companies, sectors, or real estate assets.
  • Evaluate both direct and indirect investment opportunities (e.g., funds, co-investments).
  • Lead due diligence across financial, commercial, structural, and operational aspects.
  • Build financial models and investment memos to support decision-making.



Execution & Monitoring

  • Execute trades or transactions across public markets and real estate deals.
  • Maintain ongoing coverage of active investments, including KPIs, market movements, and catalysts.
  • Develop and manage relationships with external managers, brokers, advisors, and counterparties.



Governance & Reporting

  • Prepare investment committee materials, performance reports, and strategic updates for principals.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and risk guidelines.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of investment processes, frameworks, and systems.



The Successful Applicant

  • 15+ years of investment experience in public equities and/or real estate.
  • Background from asset management, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, real estate investment firms, investment banks, or reputable family offices.
  • Strong track record of idea generation and portfolio contribution.
  • Exceptional analytical, commercial, and financial modelling skills.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, and strong communication skills.
