Singapore is the global headquarters for the international business and this role will report to the General Manager for global key accounts.In their next phase of growth, they are looking to add a Director, Business Development to drive efficiency and bottom-line focus across global key accounts.Job DescriptionReporting to the General Manager for Global Key Accounts, this strategic hire will help the firm drive revenue and profit across Hi-Tech accounts. This is an individual contributor role, that plays a key role in implementing and managing group strategies, achieving performance goals, and maintaining the company's competitive advantage.Provide market insights and solution design consulting to existing accounts, while scoping out new customers.Build expertise in pricing and providing competitive rates to customers.Develop a target customer list, mapping of target accounts and strategies to network with such contacts.Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to leverage the global account sales strategy.Define long-term organizational strategic goals to grow and retain existing accounts.Collaborate with regional and global sales teams to service the account well in all markets.Deliver revenue and P&L targets for all the new global accounts.Work closely with the Global Forwarding and Logistics teams to accommodate and develop the service through continuous feedback from client and design customized solutions for complex business models of global clientsDrive RFQ and tender strategies.The Successful ApplicantTo be a successful applicant in this role, you have:Strong hunting and farming skills, with an ability to manage ambiguity and be goal oriented.Ten or more years in global account sales within the freight forwarding industry.Strategic thinking, presentation skills and deep knowledge of competitor and industry trends.Exceptional relationship-building and partnership development skills and ability to drive RFQs.Experience in finance, budgetary control, and P&L management for assigned accounts.Flexibility to travel on a short notice.What's on OfferOur client is a leading, specialist player in the logistics industry.
