The ideal candidate will bring strong derivatives operations and regulatory experience, with a deep understanding of OTC and exchange-traded derivatives processes.

Job Description

Regulatory Readiness & Compliance

  • Lead the setup and implementation of processes related to global margin rules (e.g., Uncleared Margin Rules - UMR) and derivatives transaction reporting (e.g., MAS, EMIR, CFTC, HKMA).
  • Liaise with counterparties, custodians, and internal teams to ensure full compliance with margining and reporting obligations.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess potential operational impacts.



Trade Operations & Support

  • Oversee daily derivatives trade lifecycle management - trade capture, confirmation, collateral management, valuation, and settlement.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation and timely resolution of trade breaks or disputes.
  • Work closely with the front office, risk, and finance teams to support trading and portfolio activities.



Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for external service providers (brokers, counterparties, fund administrator).
  • Provide subject matter expertise on derivatives operations and regulatory projects.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in derivatives operations, preferably with a hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank.
  • Strong knowledge of OTC derivatives, ISDA documentation, and margining processes (IM/VM).
  • Familiarity with global regulatory regimes including MAS, EMIR, CFTC, and UMR requirements.
  • Experience working with derivatives trade reporting and collateral management systems.
