About Our Client

Our client is a global consultancy FTSE 250 company with a large presence across APAC. They are looking for a talented individual to join the growing marketing team and play an integral role as a Content Editor covering the Greater China market.

Job Description

  • The Content Editor will be the content lead for the Greater China market, helping the Central Marketing team to boost the standing and engagement of content. Key to this will be ensuring that content is a pleasure to read, is geared to the target market, and on-strategy

  • Effectively translate the vision and business agenda into reader - geared formats that authentically speaks to the consumer, in a style and tone that are both warm and informative.

  • Produce a rich and varied collection of excellent stories, and manage the Content Calendar that features the right mix of discipline content, evergreen content and hero content.

  • Through a sound editorial news-lens, develop angles and a brand voice that will help the business tap into trending topics and conversations that will boost brand credibility and visibility.

  • Take one idea and produce several content types that perfectly fit each of the platform needs: ranging from reports and thought leadership, to useful and catchy social media articles.

  • Develop expertise in interpreting and communicating, explaining key trends and opportunities to the regional and global marketing teams: then seamlessly producing content that brings to life our global content strategies

  • Interview Asia Pacific Managing Directors to write report market overviews, editorials for publication and country-specific blog articles.

  • Help the business to better define the content component of its Social Media strategy, ensuring that its content is well optimised for social media, and elasticised for other relevant content channels.

  • Follow briefs to write short and long-form content for websites, brochures, presentations and other marketing collateral as required.

  • Understand writing requirements for SEO strategy, including researching keywords, adapting SEO-friendly formats and staying in touch with trending search topics. Skillfully incorporate these tactics into the business copy.

  • Ability to work with agencies, and manage content briefs for additional resources.

  • Work with the stakeholders and communications team to review market research and provide guidance on relevance to the local market and audience.

  • Analyse survey data to write a range of reports ensuring key findings, recruitment themes and trends are extracted and highlighted.

  • Contribute ideas for new and topical surveys and reports based on country-specific trends and key topics.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Content/Editing/Marketing Communications/Journalism.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or equivalent.
  • Strong proficiency in writing, reading and editing the local language to be able to create organic content customers in Greater China.

  • Written versatility to suit a range of communication channels (reports, editorials, online articles, social media platforms) and the ability to adhere to in-house editorial guidelines/style.

  • High level listening and verbal communications skills including research and interviewing skills.

  • Outstanding attention to detail.

  • Solid project management and organisational skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. Strengths in negotiation and influencing a conversation.

  • Adept at prioritising workload and keeping stakeholders informed.

  • Critical thinking and analytical capabilities, ability to interpret and analyse statistics, think logically, identify key themes and trends and derive conclusions.

  • Ability to be insightful, creative, objective, interesting and succinct across a range of writing styles.

  • Understanding of Social Media and target audiences.

  • Knowledge of SEO optimisation within online content creation including a solid understanding of SEO principles and how to apply them to copy writing, and the ability to write compelling copy to drive conversions on landing pages.

  • Executive level stakeholder management.
