Job Description

  • Conducting thorough site evaluations to identify hazards and effectively communicate potential risks related to loss prevention.
  • Assessing and precisely quantifying exposures at industrial facilities to mitigate potential losses.
  • Reviewing the adequacy and operational reliability of protective systems to ensure effective risk control.
  • Evaluating and strengthening in-house loss prevention strategies to enhance safety and minimize financial impact.
  • Advising senior management on proactive risk reduction measures and implementing change management strategies to prevent losses.
  • Committing to extensive travel, approximately 30% to 40%, to support loss prevention initiatives across multiple locations.

The Successful Applicant

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in industrial operations and/or maintenance, particularly within the chemical or pharmaceutical industries, with a strong focus on loss prevention and risk management.
  • Prior direct involvement in engineering projects is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting and collaboration.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work independently in high-pressure environments.
  • Proven technical expertise, demonstrating a broad knowledge of engineering principles and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, data analysis, and presentations.
  • Singaporeans only.
