About Our Client
Our client is a global manufacturer of fibre products that has a comprehensive production and distribution footprint. The company is focused on being low-cost producer, generates attractive margins and facilitate continuous improvement programs to drive productivity. The team is looking for a Compliance Officer to join the team and play an instrumental role in helping the firm achieve its growth ambitions.
As the second line of defence, you will be tasked to implement the best practices and ensure compliance in accordance to regulations established by the Board. You will be a strong business partner to top management of several divisions, discuss appropriate actions, helping them to establish strong framework of controls, policies and process to achieve effective management. You will also provide training to the team to uphold a robust compliance environment. You will compile compliance reporting and KPIs, perform compliance audit and follow up closely on actions plans. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will identify gaps and risk areas, proposing solutions to mitigate the risk. Knowledge in trade compliance, US Sanctions will be key.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally, you have a degree qualification in Finance and Accounting, with at least 10 years of experience in audit, control and compliance activities with a multinational. You are process oriented, able to work independently and is comfortable working with senior stakeholders of the business. You are a self-motivated individual, hands-on, possess high level of integrity. You come with great interpersonal and communication skills and is detail oriented. Solid experience in process mapping on minimum control framework environment will be highly advantageous. Comprehensive knowledge in US Sanctions such as OFAC will be highly advantageous for this role.
