About Our Client

Headquartered in Singapore, our client is a well known player in their sector and have years of history and legacy in the market. They are in the manufacturing and production industry and work with many blue chip companies in automotive, aviation, pharmaceutical sectors. They are currently undergoing a business transformation and have plans to increase their market share substantially through organic growth and acquisitions. As a result, they need a strong Commercial Director to join its leadership team and spearhead their growth.

Job Description

Reporting to the Group CEO, you are expected to oversee and manage all commercial activities for all their markets. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will be a key partner is setting group strategy and business plans for their short to long term goals. Managing the commercial teams, you will be expected to drive business performance through new customer acquisition and penetrating deeper into existing client relationship. You will be monitoring market trends and analyse the competition while adapting the company to changing industry landscape. You will also establish and track KPIs to ensure that long term commercial goals are realised. Overall, you are a key player and deputy to the CEO in driving the company's growth and market position.

The Successful Applicant

Ideally, you should have a background in finance and have foundation as a Financial Controller or Director so as to understand the various reporting framework and key metrics. Your background in finance will also stand you in good stead as you engage with the CFO on commercial activities. Exposure to manufacturing sector will be crucial to success in this role. You are a experienced sales leader who can navigate and adapt to changing market conditions while ensuring the team move in the right direction. Excellent communication skills in mandarin is important as the Group has large operations in China and you are expected to liaise and work closely with stakeholders there. You should also possess excellent analytical skills and a strategic mindset to partner the CEO in moving the company forward.
