Our client is a dynamic and innovative QSR scaleup. With a commitment to quality, sustainability, and exceptional customer engagement, they are seeking a visionary and results-driven CMO to lead their APAC marketing. This is one of the fastest growing brands in the region and their global revenue is now in the $5-10B range. The APAC CMO role will drive and deliver programs across digital, marketing, loyalty and customer satisfaction. This is a newly created, permanent role.

Job Description

Report to the APAC MD, the APAC CMO will manage a regionally distributed team across digital, Public Relations, brand, marketing, loyalty, innovation and partnerships. This is a leadership role that requires strong understanding of consumer behaviour and development of successful marketing strategies. You will also provide guidance to other regions in the group and franchise partners, on a need basis.

The measures of success in this role are:

  • Team leadership: coach and upskill a regional marketing team across APAC including SEA, Japan, and Korea.
  • Consumer insights: be an expert in translating data into effective marketing strategies and build relevant capabilities in the team and agency partners.
  • Budget management: manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring ROI and cost-efficiency.
  • Campaigns: be the key POC for all APAC creative briefs and integrated campaigns across channels.
  • Stakeholder management: partner the APAC MD and Country Heads to connect consumer marketing and the ambitious business growth plans.
  • Communication: communicate marketing strategies, performance, and insights effectively to the group leadership team and the board.
  • Loyalty strategy & design: one of the critical deliverable in this role will be a world class loyalty program, via the loyalty team.

The Successful Applicant

To be a successful applicant, you have:

  • MBA, Masters in Marketing, Business, or a relevant discipline.
  • Fifteen or more years' experience in consumer marketing, with at least five years in a highly scaled global QSR or premium retail brand.
  • Eight or more years in a line management role, with at least 5-8 direct reports at Director/Senior Manager level.
  • For candidates outside of QSR, experience in businesses with a significant retail (including travel retail) presence would be highly preferred.
  • Solid track record in leading a marketing COE.
  • Analytical personality and ability to develop campaigns using customer insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to travel, up to 50%
