Our client is a reputable network cable and infrastructure provider globally that serves a myriad of industries including healthcare, network, energy, computing, and more. With the industry shifting more into the areas of the Internet of Things, 5G network, smart cities, and more. The importance of Data Centres has become more prevalent today.

My client is in search of a Channel Sales manager to distributors/partners, developing sales strategy & targets.

Open to candidates coming from experience working with channel partners/distributors selling IT equipment, hardware, transmission equipment, network equipment, routers, or other data center-related equipment.

Job Description

  • In charge of managing, expanding the geographical reach of the business, and developing the focus business segment in order to meet the assigned incremental sales target for the focus distributor.
  • A channel account manager's responsibilities will include Malaysia base business market research, developing a program with assigned focus distributors to improve channel base business, and continuous development of a new channel partner ecosystem.
  • To enable and carry out the acquisition of new channel partners, onboarding, training, and co-development of business opportunities via a channel business program, promotion, and enablement policy.
  • Managing assigned distributor business through project registration, as well as cultivating relationships between channel partners and our distributor.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, IT, or related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as an account manager/channel account manager in an IT distribution company with national business coverage is preferred.
  • Excellent relationship-building and persuasion abilities are required.
  • Capability to develop, administer, and sustain channel business local programs under the auspices of regional channel partner programs managed by regional HQ.
