They are currently expanding and are looking for a Business Process Improvement Lead to drive organizational efficiency by implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, overseeing project teams, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The incumbent will be part of a growing team and can expect to drive and implement new lean initiatives to ensure continuous improvement across the organisation.

Job Description

1. Strategic Planning and Alignment:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand strategic goals, identify gaps, and develop a prioritized roadmap to address areas where objectives and strategies are not being met.
  • Develop and prioritize long-term productivity improvement roadmaps for departments, comparing performance to industry standards and identifying opportunities for optimization.



2. Leadership and Methodology Integration:

  • Lead and integrate Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and drive performance improvement. Guide project teams in designing and implementing solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Guide the organization through structured processes that include resource management, decision-making, resistance identification and resolution, conflict management, skill enhancement, metrics tracking, and performance management.



3. Project Execution and Performance Management:

  • Engage team members and stakeholders to execute Lean Six Sigma projects, providing leadership, guidance, and coaching in these methodologies.
  • Create and monitor detailed action plans for process improvements, designing and maintaining tools and dashboards to track project progress.
  • Develop metrics and conduct post-implementation reviews to assess performance improvements and ensure the sustainability of changes.



4. Analysis and Decision Support:

  • Conduct studies, including cost-benefit analyses, trend analyses, and risk assessments, to evaluate the impact of product development, production rates, and process improvements. Present business cases for project approval and implement countermeasures as needed.
  • Provide analytical and conceptual direction to project team members, ensuring alignment and value delivery.



5. Change Management and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Manage stakeholder adoption and change activities using project management tools across processes, organizational design, and technologies.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration across teams to ensure consistency, encouraging innovative thinking and challenging existing processes to enhance performance.
  • Promote a mindset of continuous improvement, providing necessary training, resources, and mentoring to support organizational development.



6. Operational Flexibility and Leadership:

  • Assume leadership responsibilities as needed to ensure project continuity. Demonstrate flexibility to meet project deadlines and travel as required to support improvement initiatives.
  • Adapt to changing business needs and take on additional tasks to support organizational goals.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or any related field.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in a similar position with business process improvement roles.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools and techniques such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, ISO, or CMMI.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification would be highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Experience working with C-suite and board of directors.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and workshops.
