About Our Client

Our client is a global provider of Testing, Inspection & Certification services. They cater to a diversity of customers and focus on providing better products and minimizing risk by ensuring that their products, systems and materials are safe to use.

They are currently looking to hire their Business Development Manager who will be responsible for achieving their sales target and maintaining strong relationships with customers in the construction industry.

Job Description

  • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving their own sales target, getting new customers on board and increasing revenue size through existing accounts.
  • Build and actively nurture strong professional relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within assigned accounts.
  • Assess current and future customer service needs by establishing personal connections with both prospective and existing clients, serving as a bridge between them and the organisation.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities early in the sales process to maximize the organisation's market share.
  • Work with the inbound team and specialists to evaluate and qualify sales opportunities.
  • Follow up promptly on quotations for your assigned customer base.
  • Use CRM tools diligently to log activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, duplicates are eliminated, new information is recorded, and call/visit logs are kept up-to-date.
  • Participate actively in pipeline reviews, maintaining up-to-date CRM records and identifying key success factors for major opportunities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Materials Science or Mechanical engineering required.
  • Expertise and experience in the construction industry is a must.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Clear, precise and effective communication skills with stakeholders in the organisation and with customers.
