An international financial institution is seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP) to join its Markets Operations (FX) team in Singapore. This is a senior individual contributor role with regional responsibility, requiring strong hands-on experience across the end-to-end FX trade lifecycle, particularly FX settlements and globally originated trades. The role also carries informal team-lead responsibilities, acting as a trusted senior within the team.

It operates a sophisticated Global Markets and Treasury platform, supporting complex FX trading activity across regions. Singapore serves as a key regional hub for its Markets Operations function, offering strong visibility, close partnership with front office and global stakeholders, and involvement in cross-regional workflows globally.

Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end FX operations activities including trade confirmation, settlement, discrepancy resolution and exception handling.
  • Act as a senior Markets Operations contact for APAC Sales, Trading, Middle Office and global Operations teams.
  • Support FX trades originating globally, coordinating across global handovers and time zones.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and act as a point of escalation for complex issues.
  • Identify, escalate and mitigate operational and settlement risks while supporting process improvement initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on FX Operations experience, including trade lifecycle and settlements, within a Global Markets environment.
  • Strong product exposure across FX Spot, Forwards, Swaps, NDFs and related instruments.
  • Experience supporting inetrnational originated FX trades and working with global stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor with accountability and informal team-lead responsibilities.
