Job Description

Responsibilities



  • Formulate and implement a robust warehouse automation strategy that aligns with the Supply Chain objectives, considering the specific needs of storage facilities.


  • Identify and assess automation technologies (e.g., robotics, multi-shuttle, AGV, sortation, etc.) to enhance warehouse operations while staying within budget constraints.


  • Design and tailor automation solutions to meet distinct warehouse requirements, including layout design, system integration, and process reengineering.


  • Lead and manage the implementation of large-scale warehouse automation projects from start to finish, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption to operations.


  • Carefully manage project schedules and budgets, ensuring all milestones are achieved within the set parameters.


  • Implement comprehensive change management processes, keeping all stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.


  • Work closely with various departments to gather requirements and ensure automation solutions align with overall business goals. Ensure all automation solutions comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.


  • Establish metrics and KPIs to assess the performance of automated systems. Continuously monitor operations and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.


  • Develop training programs for warehouse staff to adapt to new automation systems and processes, ensuring a smooth transition and maximizing the benefits of automation.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements



  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.


  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with warehouse automation technologies. Proven success in implementing, maintaining, or optimizing these systems in a warehouse setting.


  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale warehouse automation projects, from planning to execution, including change management.


  • Deep understanding of warehouse automation technologies and material handling equipment. Familiarity with a broad range of automation technologies and emerging industry trends.


  • Expertise in designing and implementing customized automation solutions, including layout design, system integration, and process re-engineering.


  • Strong ability to identify operational inefficiencies and develop solutions to optimize automated processes.


  • Capability to align automation initiatives with long-term business goals. Forward-thinking to anticipate future needs and trends in warehouse automation for proactive planning.


  • Awareness of industry-specific regulations, safety protocols, and compliance standards related to warehouse automation.
