Job Description

This role reports to Head of Corporate.

As an Associate/Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role in advising clients on a wide range of complex corporate transactions. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and manage: Take ownership of key aspects of M&A transactions, including due diligence, negotiations, and deal closing.
  • Guide listings: Advise companies on IPOs and other listing processes, navigating regulatory requirements and ensuring successful market entry.
  • Structure funds: Work on the formation and structuring of various types of investment funds, including private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds.
  • Provide expert counsel: Advise clients on general corporate matters, including corporate governance, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate and learn: Work closely with senior lawyers and partners on complex and challenging transactions, gaining invaluable experience and mentorship.
  • Develop client relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored 1 legal solutions.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong academic credentials: A good law degree from a reputable university.
  • Relevant experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A, IPO listings, funds formation, investments, or general corporate advisory.
  • Technical proficiency: Solid understanding of corporate law principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and drafting skills: Ability to analyze complex legal issues and draft clear and concise legal documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Team player: A collaborative and supportive approach, with a willingness to contribute to the team's success.
  • Singapore qualified lawyer: Admission to the Singapore Bar is essential.
