Job Description

  • Matter Management & Fee Generation: Handle individual cases or parts of large matters to a high standard; identify key issues and contribute to dispute resolution strategies; draft legal documents and maintain timely communication; manage client relationships effectively.
  • Marketing & Business Development: Support client relationship development; enhance the firm's profile through networking, marketing events, and thought leadership (e.g., articles).
  • Delegation & People Development: Allocate work to junior lawyers and paralegals efficiently; mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, deadlines, and billing; ensure timely recovery of fees and adherence to agreed estimates.
  • Knowledge Contribution: Improve firm systems, know-how, and resources for better efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Associate, Litigation should have:

  • Lawyer qualified in England & Wales (or a recognized common law jurisdiction).
  • Minimum 5 years post qualification experience with strong dispute resolution background and excellent academic credentials.
  • Strong relationship management
  • Critical thinking and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A meticulous attention to detail and high standard of accuracy.
  • The ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
  • Capable of effective delegation.
  • Team-oriented and adaptable.
  • Self-motivated and proactive
