This is a hands-on role responsible for the day-to-day execution of budgeting, consolidated reporting, tax and compliance, and treasury activities across Asia-Pacific portfolio with deep focus on Japan and Australia. The role holder takes personal ownership of regional financial processes, independently drives deliverables to completion, and works closely with the leadership to ensure consistency and quality of financial outputs.

Our client is a well funded and growing investment firm that has exposure to multi asset classes including data centres for this role. They have multiple offices in global locations and deploy thousands of staff across these locations.

Job Description

Regional Budgeting and Financial Control* Drive the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for all APAC data centre development projects, with particular depth on Japan and Australia project budgets, validating assumptions and variance drivers.

* Ensure budgets are comprehensive and strategically aligned, covering capex, opex, financing costs and phasing.

* Operate budget-approval processes and proactively track actual vs budget at project and country level.

* Finalise APAC budget templates, FX policies and reporting standards.

* Prepare and recommend regional adjustments to forecasts and reallocations of centrally-held costs for Finance Director approval.Regional Financial Reporting Governance* Maintain the regional reporting calendar and templates (project-level P&Ls, consolidated APAC packs), personally driving timely, high-quality delivery to investors and lenders.

* Standardise formats, accounting policies and FX assumptions so that management reports are comparable and decision-useful.

* Support group consolidation by liaising with project accountants and in-country finance teams to ensure data integrity.Singapore and APAC Tax and Compliance* Ensure Singapore tax filings and compliance (corporate tax, GST, withholding) are met on time and in full.

* Manage APAC tax obligations and structuring matters for projects hands-on, coordinating directly with external advisers (Japan and Australia).

* Engage external auditors and tax advisers regionally, executing the regional audit strategy.Regional Treasury and Cash Management* Partner with the Finance Director to manage APAC cash and debt, including cash pooling and intercompany funding.

* Optimise regional liquidity, concentration accounts and FX hedging in coordination with the Finance Director.

* Track project drawdown schedules and funding requirements; independently produce rolling cash-flow forecasts for the leadership team.

* Support day-to-day treasury and intercompany transactions within policy thresholds.

The Successful Applicant

* CA / CPA / ACCA (or equivalent) with 8-10+ years of progressive finance experience, including multi-country or regional responsibilities.

* Strong background in project finance or capital-intensive industries - data centres, real estate, REITs, energy or infrastructure.

* Hands-on experience with APAC taxation and compliance regimes, particularly Singapore and Japan; Australian experience highly desirable.

* Proven track record managing financial reporting across multiple legal entities, including group consolidation.

* Demonstrated success in managing project budgets, treasury activities and lender reporting in a multinational setting.
